East Dundee is well known for Haeger Brick Company, also known as Haeger Pottery. It produced bricks to help rebuild the up and coming Chicago after the Great Chicago Fire. The Village of East Dundee was Incorporated in 1871. East Dundee is approximately 3.15 square miles. Additionally, the village East Dundee has several restaurants and stores along N River St Picture below and Main St/ IL 72. In 2020, the homeownership rate was 77.6%. East Dundee is a village in Kane County with a small section in Cook County. The population was 3,152 at the 2020 census.
