The village of Huntley in Illinois was founded in 1851 is located in southern McHenry county as well as northern Kane county. Huntley, Illinois has a popualtion of 28,138 as of 2022′ census.  The village of Huntley is 48 miles from Downtown Chicago. Additionally, Huntley has a total area of 14.102 square miles with considerable growth in the past 23 years from a farming and rail community to a suburban area considered as part of the Chicago metropolitan area. In contrast, the village of Huntley population in 2000′ Census was 5,730 residents.  The growth of Huntley is due in large part to new residential development of Del Webbs Sun City a 55+ active community founded in 1999′. Additionally, Residential Real Estate develpoments to the east and northeast have flourished since, therefore making it neccesary to build eight new schools since 1995.
